During the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Kuwait showed varied performance trends. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower.

Careem – rides, food & more saw fluctuations in its weekly downloads, maintaining a range between 1.1K and 1.3K. The app's weekly active users started at around 18.5K, peaking at 19.2K in mid-September, before finishing the quarter at 18.6K.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting the quarter at approximately 630 and ending at 472. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 19K mark throughout the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a consistent decline in weekly downloads from 634 to 375 over the quarter. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 3.3K to 2.6K by the end of September.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had its downloads peak at 420 in early August, but closed the quarter at 259. Despite this, the app's active users increased from 745 to 793, indicating a consistent user engagement level.

Careem Captain maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with slight fluctuations around 300-400 downloads per week. Active users increased from 945 at the start of the quarter to 1.1K by the end, suggesting growing user retention.
